The Roots
Homestead Journey Co. was born from a lifetime of simple, meaningful moments rooted in the garden. Growing up, some of my favorite memories were spent alongside my mom and grandma—hands in the dirt, surrounded by rows of fresh vegetables, fruit trees, and herbs. We always had a garden, and there was nothing quite like it. The taste of sun-ripened tomatoes and crisp cucumbers, the excitement of finding zucchinis that seemed to grow overnight, and the sweetness of raspberries, blackberries, and grapes picked right off the vine.
But it wasn’t just about growing food—it was about what came after. We spent time in the kitchen together, turning what we grew into something lasting. We canned vegetables, made pickles, created homemade pasta sauces, jams, and jellies. We even learned to make things like kimchi and dandelion tea—and later, dandelion wine. Those moments of cooking, preserving, and learning side by side created memories that have stayed with me for life.
Homestead Journey Co. is a reflection of that experience. It’s a place for anyone who wants to reconnect with simpler living—whether you’re growing your first herb garden on a balcony or building a full homestead from the ground up. This is a space to learn, explore, and share the journey with others who believe in slowing down, creating with intention, and enjoying the beauty of what we grow.
About Homestead Journey Co.
Homestead Journey Co. is rooted in generations of family, tradition, and the simple joy of growing and creating together. It began long before this brand—with a garden.
Growing up, we spent countless days alongside mom and grandma, hands in the soil, surrounded by rows of fresh vegetables, fruit trees, and herbs. There was nothing quite like it—sun-ripened tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, zucchinis that seemed to grow overnight, raspberry bushes, blackberries, grapes, peach trees, and apple trees. Each season brought something new, something beautiful. But what made it truly special was what we did together. We gathered in the kitchen, turning what we grew into something lasting—canned vegetables, pickles, homemade pasta sauces, jams, and jellies. We learned to make kimchi, dandelion tea, and even dandelion wine. These weren’t just skills—they were moments of connection, laughter, and learning that became lifelong memories. Those traditions were passed down to the next generation. Our children grew up in that same rhythm—learning to garden, cook, preserve, and appreciate the beauty of creating something with their own hands. Today, that legacy continues as we build Homestead Journey Co. together, with Kelsey playing a special role in bringing this vision to life. This isn’t just a brand—it’s a shared journey. A place where families, beginners, and seasoned homesteaders alike can come together to learn, grow, and reconnect with a simpler, more meaningful way of living. Because homesteading isn’t just about what you grow—it’s about what you pass down. Welcome to the journey 🌱
